Just talked to ford performance and they told me unofficially that Ford is still on the fence if they want to release a tune for the Braptor. Apparently they haven't made a decision yet but are not sure if they want to go through all the work, testing and CARB approval.
If you're like me and...
certainly not in the back seats.... there's very little airflow in the back so if its cold out they freeze in the back. not much room to move around either. The wind noise will start getting you you as well after listening to it for a while...bring noise cancalling head phones.
My gen 1 and the braptor weigh almost the same, so its a matter of how hard the engine works to get the vehicle up to speed. it's almost comical 0-60 the V8 never gets above 3k and the 6 popper is screaming at 4-5k with the same pull and about the same 0-60 time. There's no way I can see this...
sorry to sound like a curmudgion overall I like the hardware, the suspension is truly amazing.
What really makes me dislike the vehicle is the software choices....
- things like losing all the settings when you shut it off, it makes me think it was intended as a rental. In fact it always...
I think it all depends on how well the weather stripping was layed down and how the tops were set in place. the real test is how consistent it will be when you start taking the tops on and off.
I have a gen1, and didn't think I would enjoy driving the bronco so much. at this point I'm considering selling my gen 1....something I thought I would never do.
i wish I could figue out how to modify the goat modes so normal mode would have sport throttle ect.... i really hate goat modes and how everything resets after you shut it off...... I think they were designed as rentals.
