New Recall for the Raptor

Just got Ford recall letter and I thought it was going to be for the firewall wiring problem but it was not!
It was for Bronco Raptor front or rear fender fasteners failing and maybe falling off! I did not hear about this one till I got the letter? Anybody heard of it?
Anyway the letter states there is no fix for it yet and will send another letter when a fix is available!
Ford needs to get their s___ togethet!!!

Yep, this one's real. It's NHTSA recall 26V403, and it's Raptor-only. About 36,000 Bronco Raptors (2022 to 2026, built at Michigan Assembly between Oct 2021 and May 2026) are covered.

Short version: it's a supplier problem, not a design problem. The company that molds the fender flares had worn tooling, so some mounting holes came out oversized or undersized and the attachment clips can't grab properly. Ford has logged around 370 warranty claims for loose or missing flares, with no crashes or injuries reported. The risk is a flare coming off and becoming a road hazard for whoever's behind you.

The letter you got is the interim notice (those mailed Aug 10 to 14, which is why it says no fix yet). The remedy letters are already scheduled for Aug 31 through Sept 4. The fix will be a dealer inspection, then either new push-pin fasteners on flares that check out or replacement flares if needed, free of charge. So your second letter should be a few weeks out, not months.

In the meantime, worth giving each flare a firm tug when you wash it. If one's already loose, mention it when you book the recall work. You can also run your VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls to see everything open on your truck (a lot of us also have the engine-bay wiring harness recall outstanding, and dealers can do that one now, no need to wait on a letter for it).
